This is a great spooky twist on a timeless game.

The imposing pieces with a hint of the flatwoods monster, and bleak atmosphere, really sets it apart from other attempts to spice up chess.

sorry running behind on posting videos on youtube but spoke with you prior on when i played it on twitch. I am to schedule the update you did since then soon. for now I did upload it to youtube as well from the twitch broadcast.

I look to come back to this and play the update.  Should I try to speed run it this time? ;-)

thank you again for playing the game :)

hey esiotek, thanks for reaching out and unfortunately i wasnt able to record my gameplay of this because of the visuals kept on glitching on me :( (my device is quite a potato) but anyways tbh at first i was confused on what to do and then after awhile i get it :3 and again i thank you for making this game, it was a unique experience fr!

I really enjoyed the game, thank you for reaching out! My favorite part about it was definitely the perspective of the player and the giant looming pieces. Keep up the good work!

thank you for taking the time to check out the game! I enjoyed the video, it’s always fun to see other people play the game :)

cheers!

thanks for checking out the game!

The movements are completely random (you just got unlucky a few times it seems like).

for the glitch it started as that and then I left it in the game because I was afraid the game would be too hard to beat without it. But it seems like the game is beatable without cheating so maybe I should correct it.

anyway thanks for playing :)

Hey esiotek,

I really enjoyed streaming your game:

The atmosphere you've created for a chess game is awesome. The glowing eyes high up in the distance really fill you with unease. A very simple premise that you've executed with style and polish. Not sure if it was intentional but I wasn't always knocked out when pieces jumped on my space. So it felt like I was cheesing the game a bit. I think if you wanted to expand further, perhaps some preset boards with specific solutions? As it did feel at times that I was just jumping between squares to create an opening. The game looked and played great so thank you for sharing.

Looking forward to your next projects!

thanks for checking out the game.

Lol yea there’s a way to “cheat”. Honestly it is very hard to beat the last level without doing that so I am not sure I really consider it cheating, it’s more a feature at this point :)

i like the idea of different boards with specific solutions, it would help with the issue you mentioned of just jumping around waiting for an opening.

Thank you for the invitation! loved this game idea. It is the most unique style I've seen in a long time. If you have any games to play, or if I can help you, feel free to contact me!

Thanks for playing the game, glad you liked it :)

Thank you for allowing us to play your game.

Cool concept of the horrors of chess, and cool visuals of the heights of the chess peices.

Loved that each peice had a unique sound.

i have made a video on your game attached

Excellent game, highly recommended.

Interesting idea, great scenery, but i think it still is a chess game, nothing new to add i did not get the horror effect and feeling at all. Sadly i am way more terrified playing at chess.com with a real person afraid of making the wrong move and getting punished. The game gave me many opportunities to capitalize on it's mistakes sacrificing pawns just for the sake of it. Hope it is improved in the future cause it looks promising.

hey, thanks for the feedback.

Yea currently there is no real AI, the game just moves pieces randomly. I could probably improve the game there and make it more challenging (not like playing against stockfish but something a bit more sophisticated than just moving random pieces until you can attack the player).

anyway thanks for checking it out :)

Hey hey, I'm a guy from reddit, finally played your game. I really like the concept of your game, and it was pretty fun:) Especially the third level, the most interesting part of the game actually

Would really like more content and maybe a release on steam...? Maybe more environments on the big chessboard, there would be additional obstacles

And there is also a bug that when you replay a level old figures remain on a small board

Otherwise I really liked it, good luck with development:3

hey, thanks for the feedback.

For the bug,  do you mean that pieces stay on the small board?

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant:3

Thank you, I fixed the glitch with the latest update.

Definitely a good one...
